Description
Cefoperazone 3 g & sulbactam 1.5 g
The third generation cephalosporin, Cefoperazone most effective against Gram-negative bacteria and resistant to ß-lactamases.
Indications:
- Severe respiratory & genitourinary infections.
- Enteric, urinary tract infections & urinary peritonitis, cholecystitis, cholangitis.
- Bovine mastitis
- Skin, soft tissue, bone & joint infections.
- Endometritis
- Pneumonia in calves
- Meningitis
Administration: Deep IM or IV by intermittent or continuous infusion
Dosage:
Livestock: 10–15 mg/ kg body weight for 3-5 days or as directed by the registered veterinary practitioner.
Note: Prepare solution by dissolving the contents of the vial with 10-20 ml sterile water.
