Isocort Injection: Isoflupredone Acetate Injection Suspension IP 2 mg/mL
Potent glucocorticoid anti-inflammatory
Isocort Injection is a sterile aqueous suspension of Isoflupredone acetate, having potent glucocorticoid and anti-inflammatory activity. Isocort is intended for intramuscular or Intrasynovial injection in animals. It is indicated through the intramuscular route in situations requiring glucocorticoid, anti-inflammatory and/or supportive effect, while the intrasynovial route is indicated in joint inflammation, tendonitis & bursitis.
Administration
By deep intramuscular injection for systemic effect or into joint cavity, tendon sheath or bursa for local effect.
Dosage
Cattle & Buffalo: 5 to 10 ml of Isocort (10 to 20 mg of Isoflupredone Acetate) according to the size of an animal and severity of the condition. The dose may be repeated in 12 to 24 hours, if indicated.
Horse: 2.5 to 10 ml of Isocort (5 to 20 mg Isoflupredone Acetate)
Sheep & Goat: 0.5 to 1 ml of Isocort per 10 kg of B.W. (1 to 2 mg Isoflupredone Acetate per 10 kg B.W.)
Caution: In infections, characterized by overwhelming toxicity, Isocort injections should be administered only in conjunction with appropriate antibacterial therapy.
Withdrawal Period: Milk Nil, Meat 7 days
